Certification and Training
Koops Consultancy can support you for the required safety trainings like VCA (Dutch Safety training for construction sites). On request we can support in this training in mulitiple languages. We support companies in setting up a tailor-made, maintaining and implementing safety policy. The policy must match your sector, the size of the company and the company culture. By presenting the many safety regulations in a comprehensible manner, we ensure that they are clear to everyone in the organization.

The safety experts of Koops Consultancy are active in the Netherlands and abroad and have experience in supporting and supervising (large-scale) construction and offshore projects within the petrochemical, (heavy) industry, renewable industries and the utility sector. Multi-language support
Koops Consultancy has both feet on the ground. We speak the language of the workfloor, management and any external parties. Also in a literal sense, the experts of Koops Consultancy speak several languages. Support in Dutch, German and English is always possible and on request, this is also possible in French or Spanish. When working with foreign employees, the brief safety instructions for the workplace are always provided in the language of these employees.

Richard Koops
“Keep safety simple, clear and pragmatic for everybody”
After Richard has worked as a manager for a medium-sized construction company for about 15 years, it was time for a new step. He was given the opportunity to transfer from the voluntary fire brigade to a full-time position at the Kampen fire brigade. In addition to the emergency response service, he completed his training as a deputy chief fire officer for fire prevention and he also worked as a fire prevention employee in Kampen for several years. This includes supervision and enforcement of permits for fire-safe use, event safety and VOS (safety on the street). After this, as a senior fire safety specialist, I picked up great assignments for Artesis, including for the fire brigades of Leiden, Maarssen and Doetinchem. Artesis a company that later became part of Richard Koops Holding BV.
From there, he more or less rolled into the “Security Section”. In addition to successfully obtaining his MVK diploma, he has also completed all courses and partial exams of the HVK. Unfortunately, due to a long-term position abroad, this cannot be completed within the statutory period. He has learned the intricacies of this fine profession on one of the largest drilling platforms in the North Sea, an oil processing tanker in Nigeria and various other foreign projects within the petrochemical and other industries.
The latter has now added a nice wealth of experience in Renewable Energy. A new area of work, but an extremely interesting branch.

“Work safe for moments that matter”
As an Office Manager, Renate is used to recording everything in a very structured and accurate way. This knowledge and skill is highly applicable when preparing HSE documentation and performing accident analyses.
After Renate worked with Richard for a few years, she immersed herself more in the profession of Safety Expert and followed the MVK study for this. After successfully completing this with an average final grade of 9.1, she is now in the final phase of the HVK study.
Renate is mainly specialized in drafting and managing all necessary documents. Think of HSE plans, RI&E, TRA, Emergency plans, etc.
Renate has mainly gained practical experience in Renewable Energy. In recent years she has been able to guide more than 15 Solar Parks in the field of HSE.
In addition to the H&S (safety and health), the W&M (welfare and environment) are very important drivers for Renate. If we all start taking good care of each other and the environment, a pleasant, liveable world will remain for everyone in the future.
